It's not always about what you can make, but what you can fix.

Geoffrey Crozier first started working with glass in 2013 when he attended a four-month certificate program in Haliburton. Geoff then spent the following year taking several professional workshops and continuing his independent studio practice, before deciding to continue his studies with glass at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario during the fall of 2014. While enrolled at Sheridan, Geoff began working with the glass department's resident artist, Mathieu Grodet. Mathieu instilled a healthy respect for the material and the old, proper techniques Mathieu was insistent on learning. Geoffrey slowly learned to craft the astoundingly thin, yet sturdy vessels in the way of the old, european masters. After completing the glass-working program at Sheridan and graduating with an advanced diploma in 2016, he received a scholarship to attend a class with the world-renowned Deborah Moore at the Pilchuck School of glass in Seattle, owing to his outstanding work with the material at Sheridan. Geoff has since travelled to the old world and the island of Murano in Italy, to watch and learn from the Venetian master Davide Fuin over a period of two weeks in the summer of 2016. Geoff is currently working full-time as a glass  and tool maker through his private studio craft as well as attending classes and workshops whenever possible to continually further understanding of the material.
