“My work is a direct result of the inspirations and fascinations I find in my oriented rural way of life. The tools we use to provide food and make goods, man’s ability to become masters, seemingly God to his crafts and trades, and the magnificence of the natural world I find myself surrounded by the world over. This inspiration is born into glass in the form of fine tableware, intricate flowers, Venetian goblets and pristine glass knives, as I continue to explore the possibilities of earth’s most perplexing and romantically enticing materials: Glass.” – Geoffrey Crozier
Geoffrey Crozier first started working with glass in 2013 when he attended a four-month certificate program in Haliburton. He spent the following year taking professional workshops and continuing his studio practice, before continuing his study in glass at Sheridan College in Oakville, 2014. He has since been awarded several scholarships, taken many classes and worked with some of the best glassblowers in the US including Karen Willenbrink, Jasen Johnson, Raven Skyriver, Etc. He currently works out of his home studio in Orono, fabricating tools for glassblowers and working with glass whenever possible.
